April 2014 News

It seems as though we were just celebrating the coming of the New Year and here we are turning around and waving farewell to the first quarter of 2014.

There have been many changes taking place at Island Ace Hardware since the beginning of the year. We have gone under a complete overhauling of our paint department and in doing so, we said goodbye to Benjamin Moore paint and hello to Clark-Kensington and Valspar paint lines. I, as well as many other Ace hardware members am pleased to announce that our decisions have been noted by Consumer Reports magazine. Clark-Kensington and Valspar paints are among the top of the “stars” now performing in many Ace hardware stores.

We have completely re-inventoried our plumbing and electrical departments adding breadth and depth to reflect the wish list from many of our electrical and plumbing contractors. If you find that your needs are not being met in any of our departments, my door is always open to your suggestions to not only fulfill your needs but also continue our commitment to make Island Ace Hardware your “one stop” shopping experience for all of your hardware needs.

More recently, a reconfiguration of our checkout area has added room for more inventory and at the same time streamline your entrance in and checking out of the store. Many customers have already enjoyed the new design of this area. Thank you to those of you have made a point of complimenting our efforts to make your shopping experience more comfortable and enjoyable.

The second quarter of the year will continue to bring new products that are entering the hardware industry. Plans to revamp our tool department will include the introduction of Craftsmen tools and a more refined line of both hand and power tools which we hope will better suit the needs of our “do it yourself” homeowners and also provide a higher end line of power tools to our contractors.

Once again, I want to reassure our valued customers that we are staying in Princeville to serve you!

Believe it or not, many of our “younger” customers want to know why the “train” doesn’t run anymore. My ears are open to all of our customers, young and older! “Uncle” Terry is committing to one and all that the train is on the list for a new run before the second quarter of 2014 passes. So “All Aboard” for continuing changes for the better at Island Ace Hardware!

With Warm Regards,
